What families are up against
The data that reveals which facilities are truly safe, well-staffed, and citation-free is publicly available — updated every month by the federal government. It just wasn’t built for families to find, read, or make sense of on their own.
Some families hire Aging Life Care Professionals at $150–$250 an hour just to do the research. Others spend days clicking through government databases trying to make sense of inspection reports written for regulators, not people. ClearPath does that work for you — in minutes, starting at $47.
Most families — even those working with placement professionals — don’t have easy access to the full federal record on the facilities they’re considering. ClearPath surfaces that record in plain English: inspection history, staffing ratios, deficiency citations, and quality trends. Having that data early in the process means you and any professionals advising you are working from a complete, verified picture. The smartest move is to get the data first.
A clean building and a friendly admissions director can make almost any facility feel right. But the measures that actually predict quality of care — nurse staffing levels, inspection history, CNA turnover, repeated citations — don’t show up on a tour. ClearPath puts that record in front of you, in plain English, before you ever walk in the door.
Why ClearPath Exists
Whether you’re working with a placement professional or navigating on your own, starting with independent, verified federal data puts you in the best position to make the right choice.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes detailed inspection records, staffing ratios, and quality measures for every Medicare and Medicaid-certified facility in the country — updated monthly. It’s the same data state and federal regulators use to evaluate care quality. ClearPath builds every report from this source, and nothing else.
ClearPath doesn’t just pull federal data — it scores every qualifying facility against the factors that matter most to you: staffing levels, inspection history, ownership structure, occupancy, and more. The result is a personalized, ranked report your family can actually act on — written in plain English, not regulatory language.
Families who wanted truly unbiased guidance had one option: hire an Aging Life Care Professional at $150 to $250 an hour. ClearPath delivers a complete, personalized, ranked report starting at $29 for assisted living (available in select states) or $47 for nursing home care — with no hourly billing, no retainer, and no sales pitch waiting at the end of the process.

Skilled Nursing Facility vs. Assisted Living — the quick version
Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) provide 24-hour licensed nursing care. They are Medicare and Medicaid certified, federally inspected, and appear in the CMS national database. They’re appropriate when someone has complex medical needs, requires IV therapy, wound care, physical therapy, or is recovering from a hospital stay.
Assisted Living Communities help with daily activities — bathing, dressing, medication management — but do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing. They are licensed by individual states, not the federal government. They’re appropriate when someone needs personal care and supervision, but not intensive medical oversight.
Based on this, which sounds right?
